Shea Butter comes from the nuts of Shea, a tree that grows in the savannas of many countries of central Africa, whose fruits are the size of a nut.
The tree Karite, has a height of 12 to 20 meters, with branches short and grayish crust and reddish in its internal part. Its flowering begins in January and ends in March. Their flowers are grouped in umbels and the fruit is a berry that has the appearance of a small avocado or a nut.
The nut Shea contains about 45 percent to 55 per cent of oils and fats, which is mined using a simple to develop the so-called Shea butter. Traditionally, this lard is obtained drawing the fruit pulp through fermentation, washing and tribulation subsequently. After the harvest, the nuts of Shea extend to the sol over a period of time, it was removed from the wrapper and pressed in cold to obtain the fatty substance.
In Africa, Shea Butter does not suffer other transformations. It is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and is evolving rapidly, especially at the level odour. However, it may also refined to achieve more stable over time. Shea acts providing a great protection to the skin against external aggression and the sun rays, which is ideal as sunscreen. (more…)

The lychee is a fruit tree originating in southern China, the south of Indonesia and east of the Philippines. The tree reaches heights between 15 and 20 m. The fruit has about 4 centimeters long and about 3 cm in diameter. Shell is red and easy to withdraw. The fruit interior is formed by layers of pulp white, sweets and translucent with a texture similar to that of the grapes. In the center is the seed.
The Lychee is considered the exotic fruit finer of the world owing to its size, its red color and flavor. In addition the fruit has great nutritional properties, which make it a powerful food.
The Lychee has a high vitamin C content conferred antioxidant power, favors iron absorption in the body, is involved in the formation of collagen, bones and teeth and improving the resistance to infection. Since ancient times been attributed to the preventive properties artichoke different ailments and diseases. These are some of the applications in which its action has proved more effective:

CHOLESTEROL.
It is shown that eating artichokes is usually effective in reducing levels of bad cholesterol, primarily through the action of the fiber, forming viscous gels which determine the fat and cholesterol in the gut, reducing absorption. Another of its components, sterols, enhances the action of the fiber and interferes with the absorption of cholesterol from food.

DIABETES.
Its rich fiber slows the absorption of glucose, so it maintains stable blood sugar levels. Furthermore, the cinarina and other substances have a mild hypoglycaemic action. (more…)
