An egg official can maintain your blood pressure under control, according to a new research, in which scientists have shown that the eggs produce proteins that mimic the action of powerful drugs used to reduce blood pressure.

The discovery was produces a few days of the explosion caused by another study that eliminated the myth related to the increased danger as regards to the heart attacks and consumption.

Now it seems that the eggs can be good for the heart, because they can lower blood pressure in the same way that the ACE inhibitors, the prescription only pills taken by millions of people around the world, being the drugs to lower blood pressure, to stop the reduction of the hormone angiotensin, in the blood vessels of the body.

The researchers, at the University of Alberta, Canada, demonstrated that when the eggs came in contact with the enzymes in the stomach produce a protein that acts in the same way. (more…)

It is saturated fat, more than cholesterol and is now in the eggs, which in the diet would be the main guilty of the increase in cholesterol levels.

“The amount of saturated fat in our diet exerts an effect on the blood cholesterol that is several times larger than the relatively small amount of dietary cholesterol”.
